Brown Rock salt is the traditional form of de icing salt. This is supplied in convenient 25kg bags which are easily handled and ideal for emptying into pedestrian salt spreaders.

The Rock Salt bags we use are one of the strongest on the market. This gives better durability, allows easier handling and less wastage from split and torn bags.

This rock salt is ideal for de-icing areas such as footpaths, car parks and playgrounds and can be spread either pre frost or directly onto snow and ice.

Brown rock salt is the most commonly used de-icing salt for highways. This rock salt is to BS 3247 (1991) the british standard for highway gritting as with all our rock salts.
